Lucinda Nicholas Artist
Lucinda Nicholas is a contemporary British watercolour artist who's work is created in her Art Studio, a quiet and calm space in the garden of her Redlynch home nestled in the heart of the New Forest National Park.
Her work reflects the landscape of Southern England and holidays abroad, drawing deep inspiration from her natural surroundings including flowers, animals, leisure and landscapes that she often paints plein air.
Inspiration comes to Lucinda from topics that make her smile whether it be her walking boots, a bridge over a river or bottles of Champagne. Her imagination is endless.

Lucinda has always been artistic, using her art to help children understand vocabulary in her initial career as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist.
Mostly self-taught, Lucinda has honed her style under local mentors and has expanded her medium vocabulary to include pen and ink, acrylics, Brusho, lino cutting and collage depending on her mood and requests from commissions.
Watercolour is her chosen medium, as it allows her to create pieces that are loose and flowing or bold and bright. She wants people to feel calm and relaxed when they look at her art, enjoying the landscapes and subjects she paints, wanting to enjoy each piece in their own homes.
Lucinda's work is always full of life and colour, using her creative talent and a spirit of exploration to see what can be achieved with watercolours.

Enrol in my six-week Watercolour sessions, held cyclically with a four-week break between modules. Please enquire for upcoming schedules.

*Wednesday afternoon 2-4pm
*Friday morning 10.30-12.30am
*Friday afternoon 3.30-5.30pm
Weekend Workshops take place on Saturdays from 10am until 2pm, focusing on specialized techniques:
* Brusho & Watercolour Inks- vibrant pigment painting.
* Collage - crafting unique art from hand-torn papers.
* Introduction to Lino Cutting.
